Place the bed, then plan everyday movement.
Begin with making the bed, getting up and taking out clothes. Fit classical furniture around actual doors, lighting and storage needs.
Measure the complete bed
Record mattress size separately from external bed-frame dimensions. Include headboard, posts and overall height; confirm transport and assembly separately.
Keep the everyday side accessible
Mark room doors, bedside tables and walking routes. Check room to get up, make the bed, clean and open drawers. Adapt the plan to family needs and any additional equipment.
Consider a side wall for storage
A compound wardrobe can accompany the bed, but first consider an independent side wall. Check its door swing against room doors, bedside tables and circulation.
Work with the existing room
Observe daylight and existing floors before choosing textiles and lighting. Neutral fabrics can frame the timber; warm-lit images alone cannot establish its actual colour.
