Measuring ceiling height and access for a compound wardrobe
Room to place it, bring it in and use it.
Floor area and storey alone cannot establish whether a cabinet fits. Record the room and delivery route, then compare them with the actual cabinet and its packed components.
Separate the heights
Record finished floor-to-ceiling height, the tallest point of the cabinet and the working space needed for assembly. Check lights, lowered ceilings and air-conditioning. The displayed 240 cm cabinet height is a reference, not confirmation of installation clearance.
Include space in front
Measure usable wall width and cabinet depth, then allow for door swing, taking items out and circulation. Include skirting, sockets, curtains and both cabinet units.
Check every packed component
Confirm whether this cabinet can be separated, and obtain component and packed dimensions. Measure lift doors, lift interior, entrance and turns; a diagonal measurement alone cannot establish access.
Plan placement and fixing
Levelling, connections and anti-tip arrangements depend on the actual structure, wall and installation conditions. Share photos and measured notes with the people responsible for delivery and assembly.
